[44] The Lighting families inserted in all the levels

Unfortunately as the lighting file is linked in, if rendering out from the Architectural Model, you have no control over the lighting families including intensity and colour etc.

As you can see above, in the lightning model, the families were grouped  according to the levels to improve the render times, however this control didnt cross over as mentioned. As a result, render times were extreme as the rendering engine had to calculate all the photons ( projected light rays) for all the light families in the model.

However including these files in the architectural wont solve the situation, working in the lighing file became very slow due to all the lighting families in the model. this is due to the fact all the families are curved surfaces ( heaps of surfaces) which is much slower for the computer than lots of standard furniture families. Now if this were to be in the same model as all the furniture as well, the file would be unusable due to the sheer amount of data.

The only solution to this problem is then to setup all materials and objects before you render out of the lighting file which everything else must be linked into.
