[42] Green Wall

Research was conducted into the drainage aspects of living wall systems. Given the highly visual aspects of attached retrofitted drainage to existing walls, the design and landscape team deemed it fit to remediate the existing internal ground floor slab and place below slab drainage for the new living wall.

The strategy for the internal green wall drainage was to remediate the existing slab and place below ground pipe work so as to irrigate and drain the living wall.

Collaboration between interior landscape team and site team would be necessary to articulate the drainage remediation in the landscape model, ie, the interior landscape model team would not be able to issue integrated construction drawings of the slab work.
