Project MCN: Artist's Village

Project MCN is a multi-disciplinary collaborative design project retrofitting and redesigning the existing building in West End, Brisbane. 

Limitations:

• Total building area is to stay within the existing two storeys
• The building envelope cannot be enlarged
• Stairs and lifts to remain
• A third level is to be added for apartments and cafe

The following CAD models are provided:

• Existing digital information
• Architectural Model
• Structural Model
• MEP Model

• Exhibition Spaces

• Apartments

Ground Floor

• 1400sqm: Entry, galleries, shop, office workshop
• 400sqm courtyard - open to the sky

First Floor

• 1000sqm studios: 5 studios: Workspace, entry, store, kitchenette, WC, shr

Roof level

• 600sqm: Apartments: 5 apartments, rooftop garden, green wall
• 200sqm cafe
